Mission Statement

Our goal is to put on a professional and diverse event that allows open minded people to engage freely in deep and meaningful discussions.

In conjunction with a select number of well known flat earth speakers, we have also provided some alternative viewpoints. We truly hope that new friendships are forged, ideas and experiments are brain stormed and future actions are set in motion. We wish to invite you to join us and help make this in to a truly magical event.

a. We are excited to share with you that we have found high educated heliocentric believers that are willing to have an open,
respectful debate with our speakers and visitors.

Do you have something you think all flat earthers should see and learn about?
Are you open to loan us this equipment to showcase at the convention?
Please contact us at info@flatearthconventionuk.co.uk

b. WORKSHOP : If you feel you have the perfect tools and knowledge to do a workshop on Sunday please get in contact.
If you just want to send information for us to use at a workshop, we welcome this as well.

We will have an open stage on Friday, wich gives you the opportunity to presents your material or get help/feedback!

c. We are looking for equipment that we can showcase on the event (gyroscope, telescope, laser, …)

To make this into a well prepared, interesting debate we want to set-up a list of 10 questions which we will send to
all members in the debate to prepare. Share your question with us at info@flatearthconventionuk.co.uk

With the help of FECORE (www.fecore.org) we can now offer sponsors a tax reduction !
If you are interested in sponsoring the event please let us know at info@flatearthconventionuk.co.uk

Charity sponsorship payments are different from donations because your company gets something related to the business in return.
You can deduct sponsorship payments from your business profits before you pay tax by treating them as business expenses.

What qualifies?

Payments qualify as business expenses if the charity:
Publicly supports your products or services
Allows you to use their logo in your own printed material
Allows you to sell your goods or services at their event or premises
links from their website to yours

If you're unsure whether a charity payment qualifies as a sponsorship payment or a donation, contact the charities helpline.

To offer everyone the chance to look at alternatives to the Jurys Inn, we have spoken with a few local hotels.
The pricing is clearly going to increase the closer we get to the event, but this is correct at the time of writing this.
Don't wait and save money by booking your accommodation now!

Jurys Inn: venue on first floor of the hotel

They appear to be now limiting what's available over the entire weekend, so best to check with them directly or visit them online: https://www.jurysinns.com/
Prices around £150 (2 people including breakfast). They have a family room as well, wich has 2 double beds and similar price as the standard rooms!

Parking at the hotel is very dear, so we have looked in alternative solutions.
Up to 1 Hour: £1.50
Up to 2 Hours: £13.00
Up to 3 Hours: £4.00
4 to 6 Hours: £6.00
7 to 10 Hours: £9.50

Green Parking: Car Park 22, located next door to the Jurys Inn car park (it's the first car park you reach, on the left hand side).

We spoke with Shaz (Manager) and he has offered a day rate of £6.00 for people (8 am to 9 pm).
After which, parking may be available on the street.
Suggest you talk to the attendant at time of visit to see if they can be a bit more flexible about the 9 pm arrangement.
We will try to discuss with them and update the details to suit. Very limited places available for 24 hours.
For people attending Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon, ask them if they can offer you a space?
Shaz offered this at a rate of £10.00 per 24 hour period, but numbers are very limited.
For people travelling in and away each day, we suggest the day rate option.

Road Parking (Berkley Street)
Up to 1 Hour: £1.00
Up to 2 Hours: £1.80
Up to 3 Hours: £2.50
4 to 6 Hours: £3.50
Other local options, but do try to secure someone before heading to the event.

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy a ticket at the event?

We currently have no plans to sell tickets at the event, but we will continually review this.

I booked 2 days but can only now attend one, can I have a refund?

Your ticket is for the entire weekend, but we are happy for you to share the attendance with another person. We only request notification of this in advance and the full name of the other attendee.

Why is this weekend ticket price so expensive? I thought TRUTH was free?

Two thirds of the price is going to the hotel, as we have a delegate rate package. Of all the options open to us this looked like the best value for money and practical. Including setting up the website and ongoing fees. We also have audio, getting the speakers to the event and sundry items to allow for.

I have bought a ticket but I can't find anyone to take my place. What can I do?

Please email me at info@flatearthconventionuk.co.uk, as we aim to hold a reserve list to assist this.

Are speakers getting paid to take part?

Absolutely no way.

What is provided regarding drinks and food?

Saturday and Sunday day includes 3 sets of tea, coffee and biscuits and buffet lunch. We are also looking at the hotel providing a mobile bar.

Is a Vegan option on offer?

The hotel will cater to everything of this nature, but unless we are notified in writing (Facebook, email or Twitter), we will assume that a standard range is acceptable.

Is this just a way of making a profit out of us?

Not at all. In fact, it's touch and go if the event will be fully covered, with any shortfall coming out of my pocket. If a profit is made it would be used in one of 2 ways. Either, used to provide a better event or put aside to support future events. Not one person is going to gain even 1 penny out of this.

Can I bring my children too?

Yes, but we would appreciate it if you vacated the event temporarily if they start becoming restless. Children in a buggy or pram go free.

Is it free to park on site?

Unfortunately not. It's around £14.20 per day (check website for hotel for exact details.) I am suggesting that people car share where possible. The car park is located via Berkley Street. Update: Please check Facebook and additional section of this website for additional updates on how to save money.

If I don't want to stay at the hotel do I have options open to me?

Lots of options in Broad Street and the local area (booking early should save you money). We have carried out updates on here and also on the closed Facebook page. Please look out for some of the options we have suggested.

What happens if speaker decides to not take part or can't make it?

We can't dictate who turns up, but we would like to feel that a full programme will take place, regardless of any changes. The programme will remain indicative right up to weekend of the event.

If I book my ticket and then find out I can't make it, will I get my money back?

Transfers are always possible, and you can give / sell your ticket to others. We would prefer to know who to so we can update the registration details. We also want to provide the hotel with accurate details for their fire log. If we have sold out a particular package, we could put your ticket on a reserve list.

I can't afford to attend, have you got any provisions for this?

We have been working with a specialist to provide a webinar package (live streaming) for the weekend (Saturday and Sunday). The price per ticket is £20.00, and will be the total sum for both days.

I really want to attend a large event, but just can't make these dates.

We offer a web live stream option to follow the event from behind your pc; check out the webinar option in tickets.

I have a question that isn't represented here, who do I contact?

Please email me, info@flatearthconventionuk.co.uk.
